SweetWater Girls Ranch was started to restore and rehabilitate young girls who have had their childhood stolen from them for the sake of sex.

Our Goal is to be licensed by the MN Department of Human Services. We envision a safe, tranquil home, a ranch, with beauty all around; a place where these young women would heal, grow and be transformed. Knowing the power to change and heal that comes from connecting with horses, we desire to be a ranch where each girl would have a horse of her own to care for and train.

Working with trained professionals and 24 hour staffing, the girls will be enrolled in counseling, life skill training, as well as classroom training on site. Thus the healing begins.

We are a faith based organization that wants every girl to know her value and worth. We desire to see each girl healed physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

We are in the process of establishing a safe house in Northern Minnesota for girls who have been victims of commercial sexual exploitation and/or have had life experiences that put them at high-risk of being trafficked.

Our plans for this fully operational ranch include providing housing, spiritual guidance, mental health and chemical dependency support, equine therapy, personalized educational programming. healing from trauma, and other support services such as life skills, etc..

We are in the process of gathering our executive board (which will be a true ‘working’ board), identifying the location for our ranch, and getting all the proper training/preparations, business plan and licensing done. It is a long process (much longer than we anticipated) but we are committed to the task at hand!
